Front Desk
Front Desk deals with many important processes in the hotel. A front desk clerk will greet the guest as they arrive, then manage the registration process for guests. It includes asking for identification of guests, check- in and out, provide room keys and information. It also does answering to enquiries of customers. Other than what you can see, a front desk has to manage the accurate account of all rooms like the status of availability.
2) Reservation
Functions of reservation include making a reservation. It means booking of a hotel room for a guest or a group of guests for a specific number of days for a set tariff or rate. This ensures a room will be available to the guest on his arrival to the hotel and a particular booked room will be provided to the guest. Secondly, it includes cancellation and amendments of reservation. For amendments, it includes changing of date, number of guest, number of rooms and types of room. For cancellation, it means removing an existing reservation on request of the person who may have made the reservation.
